1.      False.  Tornadoes are much larger than high rises

2.      False.  Although water tends to slightly weaken a land formed tornado, a tornado over a large body of water becomes a Water Spout and still contains deadly high winds.

3.      False.  The winds of an smaller tornado can be over 100 mph.  It has been shown that most windows are shattered by flying debris.

4.       False.  Although this was originally thought to be correct, the practice of going to any corner of a basement is discouraged due to floors from collapse fall into the edges of the lower basement levels.

5.      True.  A large number of tornado survivors have described the sound of an approaching tornado as sounding like a fright train.

6.      False.  Although new Doppler radars are getting close to forecasting a possible  track of a sever thunder storm, a tornado is still unpredictable in its path.
